Debutant Nauman Ali took 5-35 as Pakistan wrapped up a seven-wicket win over South Africa with a day to spare within the first Test in Karachi.
Resuming on 187-4, South Africa had been bowled out for 245 because of gradual left-armer Nauman and leg-spinner Yasir Shah, who completed with 4-79.
Azhar Ali hit an unbeaten 31 because the hosts simply reached a goal of 88 earlier than tea.
The closing Test in Rawalpindi begins on Thursday, adopted by three Twenty20s.
The collection marks South Africa’s first journey to Pakistan in 14 years, after a lethal 2009 assault on Sri Lanka’s crew halted visits by international sides.
