Pakistan military resorts to heavy shelling alongside LoC in J&K’s Poonch | India News

JAMMU: The Pakistan military violated ceasefire by resorting to heavy firing and mortar shelling in ahead areas alongside the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir‘s Poonch district on Tuesday, a defence spokesman mentioned. The Indian Army retaliated befittingly, he mentioned.
“At about 0430 hours today, the Pakistan army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and intense shelling with mortars along LoC in Mankote sector,” the spokesman mentioned.
The Pakistan military has violated the ceasefire 45 occasions this month.
An Army personnel was killed and two others, together with an officer, injured as Pakistani troops violated ceasefire through the use of heavy fireplace and mortar shells alongside the Line of Control in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district a fortnight in the past, officers mentioned.
On September 2, a JCO was killed in ceasefire violation by the Pakistan military alongside LoC in Keri sector of Rajouri.
