Farmers’ protest: Khalsa Aid to give you night time shelter at Tikri border | India News

NEW DELHI: After efficiently operating a 600-bed full-to-capacity night time shelter for farmers placing up on the Singhu border, NGO Khalsa Aid India will now open its second one on the Tikri border on Monday.
The “semi-permanent” shelter, which is claimed to be greater and higher than the one at Singhu, will accommodate over 800 individuals. It is provided with mattresses, blankets and pillows.
“German technology was used to make this night shelter. It is semi-permanent and much bigger than the one we have in Singhu presently. Also, for the convenience of farmers who would stay here we have built 100 bathrooms and toilets here,” Amarpreet Singh, the director of Khalsa Aid Project (Asia Chapter), informed PTI.

Beside night-shelters, Khalsa Aid India, registered individually as a charitable belief in 2013, can also be working two ‘Kisan Malls’ which give gadgets of each day use, equivalent to internal wears, thermals, toothbrush and sanitary pads for these in want — all freed from price.
