$20,000 ransom hunted for 7 Indians in Libya | India News

GORAKHPUR: Seven Indian employees, together with one from Maharajganj and one other from Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh, are being held hostage by “local criminals” in Libya for the final two weeks, in line with an FIR filed by a relative of 1 hostage.
The kidnappers have demanded a $20,000 ransom for the discharge of the Indians, who had been working with an organization in Libya, the Delhi-based agency informed the relative who filed the FIR. All seven employees — from UP, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh — had been scheduled to return to Delhi on September 17 after the expiry of their visas.
